The price of Hogwarts Legacy depends on the platform and edition - it is around 300 zlotych for the standard version. The game is available for pre-order now (only console versions at the moment).

It's worth taking a look at the content of each edition of Hogwarts Legacy. Avalanche Software's production is sold in three versions: standard (Standard Edition - base game), Deluxe and Collector's Edition).

As you can see, regarding the extras, cosmetic elements are in abundance. Anyway, let's point to two things. First of all, more expensive editions will guarantee up to three days earlier access to the title. It is certainly an option to think about for the impatient. The second element that catches the eye is an ancient floating wand with a book. It is not entirely clear, but there is a high probability that it is a physical collectible figurine.

What will the new Harry Potter Android be about?

In Hogwarts Legacy Android download, we will  become a newly fresh wizard who goes to the School of Whichcraft and Wizardry at Hogwarts. Our character will stand out with the ability to manipulate Ancient Magic, which the antagonists of history want to use for their own purposes.

The game's action will take place in the 19th century, long before the events shown in the Harry Potter series. Of the well-known characters, we will definitely spot ghosts (e.g. Nearly Headless Nick). Perhaps the ancestors of popular heroes will also appear.

The creators of the game stress that the writer J.K.  Rowling is not directly involved in the game.

The whole gameplay will be set in the title School of Whichcaft and Wizardry - in Hogwarts, many years before the events of the book series. The game will offer free exploration of both the castle and its surroundings (Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade). We will visit locations known from the film adaptation and books as well as those not shown before. The game's world is said to be vivid and offer plenty of activities.

Goblins' rebellion as the main plot

The leading goblin Ranrok will deal with the Magician Victor Rookwood. In order to put an end to the growing threat and slavery of goblins, we'll befriend the mysterious Professor Fig.

Hogwarts Legacy iOS- what to expect from the gameplay?

"Hogwarts Legacy ios download is an immersive open-world action RPG set in a world that primary appeared in the Harry Potter books", states the press release promoting the Warner Bros game.

Before our adventure with Hogwarts Legacy begins for good, we will have to name our character, as well as customizer its looks (customization includes choosing a hairstyle, hair color, shape of the nose, eyes and mouth). In the trailers, we've already seen the character editing mode, which seems to be quite detailed.

Our student will join Hogwarts not in the first year, but in the fifth year, which will give us a lot of scope. In the game, we will be able to build relationships with other adepts of the school for wizards (be ready for romantic plots!), as well as make decisions that an 11-year-old would not be able to make (e.g. the ability to cast a torturing spell - Cruciatus)

Avalanche Software has so far shown a 15-minute gameplay video, from which we learn that the third-person game puts special emphasis on exploring Hogwarts (including dormitories), the Scottish Highlands surrounding the castle, the Forbidden Forest and nearby villages. We can go on a journey either on foot or on a broom.

In each of the locations we'll find additional tasks to complete and secrets to unravel. Some of them will be available throughout the game, and some will be lost if we do not complete them on time or before one of the main story quests.

The game trailer suggests the game will feature the so-called:  moral system (similar to the one we know from, among others, the "Mass Effect" trilogy). Our decisions will affect whether the character will be seen as a good or bad student at Hogwarts. For now, it is not known whether the choice of house will affect our morality too. One thing is certain - we can follow the path of evil if we want to.

Hogwarts Legacy boasts an extensive combat system. We will have countless spells at our disposal - some of them will be unlocked in the course of the story, while others will be unlocked by developing skills and talents. Some extra abilities include: invisibility.

On the other hand, the gameplay during fights does not seem to be as dull as in the licensed Harry Potter games.   From the trailer videos, we infer the mechanics of casting spells will resemble shooting games.

An important place in Hogwarts Legacy apk download will be the Chamber of Secrets known from "Order of the Phoenix". The hidden room will allow us to shape our character, change its appearance, and also give us the opportunity to grow our own plants, enhance the wand and brew potions. The main character will be accompanied there by a house elf. It will prove useful, e.g. to pick up ingredients needed to make potions.

Are we going to atrend the school activities in Hogwarts Legacy? The curriculum is tight. Our character must pass exams in Charms, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Herbology. Let's forget about the game of Quidditch - the creators explained that brooms are used in the game only for flying.

We had to wait a bit for the next showcase. It was shared on the Internet on November 11, 2022 and is much longer than the previous one. The 45-minute presentation shows a lot of elements of the upcoming production - starting from the extensive wizard creator (which we write about in more detail below), through Hogwarts, which you can freely explore and discover its secrets, conversations with other students, equipment and interface, and ending with combat.

The video has been commented by the creators. Among other things, they boast of the vastness of the world and the wealth of spells that the character will be able to use (there are about 20 of them to be obtained, including black magic, the use of which is to have consequences). Besides, the creators explain how they solved the problem of starting the game only in the fifth year of study in terms of story and gameplay.

Additionally, we found out that some ideas had to be withdrawn from the game.  We are talking about mini-games, such as gargoyles or wizard chess.

On the official profile of Hogwarts Legacy Mobile on Twitter, a few-second fragment of the game was made available, where we can see the application of one of the spells, that is Accio. This is not a spell that will be used often in the game itself, but it will definitely come in handy during quests or even in combat.

The Accio spell is used to capture an item (or person) to the caster.  However, this is not a telekinesis spell - rather it allows us to use something like a magic whip to catch, for example, a flying book (as in the video footage) or to catch a disobedient student who dared to challenge the player to a fight. We will also use the Accio spell to solve puzzles involving dragging various objects.

Hogwarts Legacy Android Download – game length

Hogwarts Legacy Android has a story campaign lasting about 35 hours.

Yet maxing out the game will take twice as much time - about 70 hours.

If it wasn't enough, players may want to go through the production multiple times, visiting different Hogwarts houses.

Hogwarts Legacy iOS Download– main quests

The house visits are supposed to make sense as the main tasks performed in each of them will be slightly different, e.g. when belonging to one of the houses, the player will visit the prison in Azkaban, not present in the others.

A visit to Azkaban may mean that you'll be able to learn the Patronus Charm, but that's just a guess at the moment.

In the game, we will take on many interesting side quests, including three directly related to the main plot and individual houses (Ravenclaw was supposedly omitted for some reason).

The quest exclusive for the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game is also allegedly interesting - to the point that it is recommended to play this edition if possible.

The deadly spell Avada Kedavra is to be learned thanks to one of the side quests available after the end of the main storyline.

Hogwarts Legacy is said to offer around 100 different Merlin puzzles.

Importantly, it is recommended to complete as many side missions as possible before continuing the main storyline (could a grind be required, like in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey?).

Hogwarts Legacy – Quidditch and other activities

We won't experience Quidditch games as such - we've known that for some time - but it is possible to fly on a broom around Hogwarts (but we won't fly, for example, to the village of Hogsmeade).

The last one also refers to traveling on various types of creatures. It is said that you can catch a phoenix in the game.

Character customization in Hogwarts Legacy

The developers promised the opportunity to create our own wizard. We will definitely choose its gender, and we will also get a wide range of customizations at our disposal.  We will get as many as several dozen hairstyles, outfits or face shapes. Our character will also be able to have scars or wear glasses.

Besides, we will choose a house. Traditionally, we will be able to go to Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.  Each of them has a different spot where we will have to rest, the so-called.   dormitory. We'll also face difficult decisions in the story, and we will develop our own fighting style while shaping our characters and fighting opponents. The latter involves combining various charms and choosing talents and skills.   Herbs and elixirs will be helpful, in which we can also train.

Visit to the common rooms

Once we decide to choose one of the Hogwarts houses, we will gain access to its common room - a place where students meet, talk and learn, and of course sleep. The creators of Hogwarts Legacy APK did their best to render these rooms in the smallest detail.  Each of them has its own individual characteristics and climate and is maintained in the colours of a particular house. They also have interactive elements. You can see what it all looks like in action in the video below.

The Hogwarts Legacy - sound effects 

Attention to detail also draws attention to the soundtrack. That is why, a footage has been made available that allows you to immerse yourself in the magical world during a calm, although rainy evening.

Next, a post appeared on Twitter showing a fragment of melancholic music lasting several dozen seconds.  We will see if the full version of the soundtrack will refer to the phenomenal songs from Harry Potter, composed by John Williams.

An open-world action RPG… no microtransactions?

Hogwarts Legacy ios will be an open-world action RPG filled with tons of different possibilities. The gameplay will be available only in single player mode, as no multiplayer or cooperation is planned.   Avalanche Software has ensured that in the game we will not find any microtransactions or other types of purchases that require real currency.

This does not mean that the creators managed to avoid controversy.  It turned out that the PlayStation version of Hogwarts Legacy Mobile will have an extra quest, not available in other releases, as well as access to the recipe for the Felix Felicis potion. This met with complaints from part of the community.

Hogwarts Legacy Mobile and Harry Potter - references

As the game takes place before the events of the books/film adaptations, knowledge of them is not required to understand the events. Still, fans of the universe can spot some references, familiar places and creatures, and the creators want to stay true to the vision created by J.K. Rowling. They also emphasize that the British writer who aroused controversy with her statements on Twitter hadn't participated in building the game story.
